The Women Property Network (WPN) is now inviting students to apply for their bursary for the 2024 academic year. This bursary is targeted at female South African students entering their second year in a tertiary institution.
the Women’s Property Network is an organization that aims to promote the role of women proactively and favourably in South Africa’s property industry by bringing together diverse, dynamic women from all sectors of industry, running educational programmes, and providing bursary financing that assists women to achieve growth and self. The organization’s primary mandate is to provide a platform for women in the commercial property industry to build valuable connections, develop and enhance their careers and recognize and celebrate the success of women in the industry.
About WPN Bursary
Since 2008, the WPN through the Educational Trust has awarded over 180 bursaries to previously disadvantaged female students studying towards a property-related degree or diploma. The 2024 bursary programme will award female students pursuing an undergraduate degree, or a diploma in property-related fields of study. Bursaries are also awarded to women already active in the commercial and industrial property industry but looking to further their studies.
The bursary will cover the following expenses for its recipients:
- Coverage for tuition fees for the upcoming academic year (excluding any arrears or outstanding student debt).
- At the discretion of WPN, the bursary may additionally cover study materials (students must submit a list of books from the institution/official bookshop as well as a valid quotation).
Eligibility Criteria
For applicants to be considered eligible for the WPN bursary programme, they must meet the following requirements/criteria:
- You must be a South African.
- You must be female
- You must be enrolled at an accredited public tertiary institution in South Africa
- You must be studying full-time in an undergraduate Property-related diploma or degree course
- You need to be entering your 2nd year or above in your college.
- You must have a minimum overall average score of 65% in the academic year of 2024.
- You must prove you need financial need.
- You need to show good academic potential and/or record.
How to Apply for the WPN Bursary
Visit the WPN bursary application form 2024 online, fill in the form and submit it. If you have been selected for the bursary, you will be contacted for further information and supporting documents. The supporting documents include:
- A certified copy of the ID.
- Academic records and/or transcripts for all completed modules (on the letterhead of the institution)
- The proof of your household income.
Closing Date
The WPN bursary 2024 is closing its applications on 12th January 2024. Any application submitted after this date will be rejected, so make sure you apply today.
