The group offers a full range of construction activities, which they divide into 3 major groups – Roads and Earthworks, Civil Engineering and Building Construction. About the WBHO Bursary

This bursary will be awarded to students who study a course within one of the following fields:

  • Construction Management (BSc)
  • Civil Engineering (BSc / BEng)
  • Quantity Surveying (BSc)
  • Building Science

Eligibility Criteria

For an applicant to be considered eligible for the WBHO bursary programme, he/she must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must have completed Matric
  • Must be a full-time student studying at a recognised tertiary institution in South Africa
  • Must have a 60% average minimum
  • Must be studying an undergraduate qualification, within one of the fields of study listed above

You will also be required to write a motivational letter on why you want the bursary and why they should award it to you.

You will also be asked to submit the following supporting documents along with your application form:

  • Matric Certificate
  • Certified copy of your ID document
  • CV
  • Passport Photograph (coloured)
  • Official tertiary record to date
  • Proof of tertiary registration for the current academic year (on institution letterhead)
  • Official tuition statement to date, for all study-related expenses
