Tomorrow Trust Bursary Application 2024

Tomorrow Trust is now inviting students to apply for their bursary for the 2024 academic year. The bursary awards students from select universities in South Africa who are studying towards any degree at all. About Tomorrow Trust Bursary

Tomorrow Trust is a non-profit organization in South Africa whose mission is to support orphaned and vulnerable children. The Trust aims to help needy students, through education and life skills, thereby empowering them to reach their full potential and become proactive members of society.

This bursary will be awarded to any student studying towards an Undergraduate or Honours degree in one of the following universities: University of Cape Town (UCT), Stellenbosch University (SU), University of Johannesburg (UJ), University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), University of the Pretoria (UP), Rhodes University (RU).

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered eligible by Tomorrow Trust for their bursary programme, all applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Applicants must be between 18 – 25 years of age.
  2. Applicants must be South African citizens.
  3. Applicants must be pursuing a Full-Time Undergraduate Degree, Honours Degree  .
  4. Tomorrow Trust does NOT fund Masters and Ph.D. students.
  5. Applicants must have finished their undergrad between Jan 2020 and Dec 2022. (for those studying towards an Honours degree)

How To Apply for Tomorrow Trust Bursary

Visit the Tomorrow trust application website if you’re interested in applying for this bursary programme. Copies of the following documents will be requested from you during your application:

All Applicants

  • A Motivation Letter clearly setting out why you have chosen your field of study and how you intend to use it after graduation.
  • Certified ID
  • Proof of Income (combine into one document/scan for all household members, incl. SASSA & affidavits)

If you’re in matric (2022), also submit the following:

  • Grade 11 end-year report (with school stamp)
  • Grade 12 term-2 school report (with school stamp)

If you are matriculated or an Undergrad Student at university: 

  • Latest Official Transcript
  • Matric Certificate (certified by commissioner of Oaths or police station)

For applicants under the age of 18, to comply with POPI regulations a signed consent form completed by your parent/legal guardian along with a certified copy of their proof of identity is required. You can download the guardian consent form by clicking HERE.

Closing Date

31st October 2023, by 12 noon
