N3TC Bursary 2024 – Apply Now

The N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) is now inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2024 academic year. The bursary is open to students from specific municipalities in Mpumalanga, Free State and KwaZulu-Natal provinces (the N3 Toll Route corridor).

The N3 Toll Concession (RF) Proprietary Limited is a construction company responsible for designing, constructing, financing, operating and maintaining the section of the N3 Route, a route that begins in the KwaZulu-Natal province, at the Cedara interchange, and ends in the Gauteng province, at the Heidelberg South interchange. The contract began in November 1999 and will end in 2029. The N3 Toll Route concession agreement is one of South Africa’s most successful public-private sector partnerships.

About N3TC Bursary

N3TC Bursaries will be awarded for one year only, and any extension is at the discretion of N3TC. the bursary will cover the following expenses for its recipients: tuition fees, mandatory textbooks and other study expenses (such as accommodation), which may be covered at the discretion of the company. Applications are open to students who are studying towards a qualification in one of the following fields of study:

  • Accounting
  • Civil Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Marketing
  • Mathematics and Science Teaching

Bursaries will be awarded to applicants from the following municipalities within the N3 toll route corridor:

  • Free State: Mafube, Maluti-a-Phofung, Phumelela
  • KwaZulu-Natal: Alfred Duma, iNkosi Langalibalele, Mpofana, Okhahlamba, uMngeni
  • Mpumalanga: Dipaleseng

 

Eligibility Criteria

For an applicant to be considered eligible for the N3TC bursary, they must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a South African
  • You must be from one of the municipal areas along the N3 Toll Route corridor (listed above)
  • You must have completed matric
  • You must be studying towards an undergraduate Degree qualification, within one of the fields of study listed above
  • You must be studying at a recognised and accredited university in South Africa and entering your 3rd, 4th or Honours year of study in 2024
  • You must have a strong academic record
  • You must maintain a minimum overall average of 60%
  • You must have proven financial need
  • You must NOT have any outstanding student debt (all previous fees must be paid up)

How to Apply for the N3TC Bursary

If you are sure you’ve met all the requirements for this bursary and you want to apply, send a message to this email [email protected] requesting an application form. Insert the words “N3TC Bursary Application Form Required” in the email heading before sending it. If you are qualified, you will be sent a form and the list of supporting documents you are to attach to the form. These documents may include:

  • ID document
  • Matric certificate
  • Latest academic results transcript
  • Proof of residence
  • Parent’s or guardian’s proof of household income

Closing Date

The N3TC Bursary application is closing on Friday, 12th January 2024. any application sent in after this date will be rejected so make sure you apply on or before the closing date so that your application will be accepted.
