  • Must be studying or intend on studying towards a 4-year Nursing/ Midwifery Diploma at the Mpumalanga College of Nursing
  • Must be in Matric currently OR have completed Matric with a degree/ diploma admission
  • Must achieve a minimum of level 3 (SG D or HG E) for Mathematics in Matric OR a minimum of level 4 for Mathematical Literacy
  • Must achieve a minimum of level 3 (SG D or HG E) for Geography/ Physical Science/ Agriculture
  • Must achieve a minimum of level 4 (SG C or HG D) for Biology/ Physiology/ Life Sciences in Matric
  • Must achieve a minimum of level 4 (SG C or HG D) for English in Matric
  • Must achieve a minimum overall Admission Point Score (APS) of 23 points for the six highest subjects (excluding Life Orientation)

Note: applicants with a disability will only be considered in terms of the inherent requirements of the nursing duties.

How to Apply to MPUCN

If you have read the requirements above and you’ve met all of them, you can follow the steps below to apply successfully. Note that all applications must be online, no physical, faxed or e-mailed applications are allowed.

  • Go to the MPUCN Portal ehr.mpuhealth.gov.za
  • Click on the Register” button
  • Fill in the correct information and click the ‘submit’ button
  • A security code will be sent to the E-Mail you used to register. This confirms your MPUCN account
  • Login into the portal and start your application.
  • Complete your application forms and Upload all documents required
  • Click “submit” to send your application

And you are done with your application. After applying, you have to wait for your application to be processed and it could take up to 3 months. If your application has been accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter at the E-Mail address you used to register.
