Schoeman Coetzee Bursary 2024 – Apply Now

Schoeman Coetzee Inc. is now inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2024 academic year. This bursary is targeted at chartered accountancy students studying towards a BCom Hons/ CTA qualification. This company is looking for ambitious, young individuals who will be able to combine part-time studies and learning through practical training at the Schoeman Coetzee Tygervalley office.

Schoeman Coetzee Inc. is a newly established company, born out of 40 years of combined audit experience of Niel Schoeman and Simone Coetzee, the firm’s two Partners. Both partners owned small auditing firms, then they decided to create a joint venture (JV), whereby their respective firms merged their audit departments. Since 2022, the JV has operated so successfully that a new company, Schoeman Coetzee Inc. has been incorporated to house the joint forces permanently.

About Schoeman Coetzee Bursary

Schoeman Coetzee hopes to foster the next generation of young Accountants and Auditors in South Africa by creating this bursary programme. The bursary will cover the tuition fees of its recipients at a SAICA-accredited institution such as UNISA or similar distance learning programs, and will also cover the expenses for the materials required by the applicant for his/her studies.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered eligible for the Schoeman Coetzee bursary programme, all applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • You must have completed and achieved a minimum result of 70% / Level 6 for all subjects in Matric, including Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy) and English (first or second language)
  • You must be studying towards a BCom Hons/ CTA qualification, on a part-time basis
  • You must be studying at a SAICA-accredited institution (like UNISA or similar distance learning programme)
  • You must have excellent and consistent academic performance
  • You must have demonstrated excellence in extracurricular activities
  • You must show genuine passion for the accounting and audit sectors

How to Apply for the Schoeman Coetzee Bursary

To apply for this bursary, you must submit the following documents to [email protected]:

  • Completed and signed application form;
  • Copy of Applicant’s ID;
  • Copy of Parent(s)’/Guardian(s)’ ID;
  • Final Grade 11 results;
  • Final Grade 12 results (if already completed)

Applicants must send their application before the closing date. Current Grade 12 students, you can send your matric results later after it is completed. In your email title, make sure you specify the reason for sending.

Closing Date

The Schoeman Coetzee bursary programme will close its applications on 30th June 2024. Any application sent in after this date will be automatically rejected so make sure you apply on time.
