WAAW Foundation is now inviting female students from African countries to apply for their 2024 scholarship programme. The scholarship is targeted at African female students who want to study a STEM-related course (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered eligible for the WAAW Foundation scholarship, you have to meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a Female student of African origin
  • You must be below 32 years
  • You must be living and studying in Africa.
  • You must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
  • You must be studying a STEM-related course in a University or college in Africa.
  • You must be a 1st or 2nd year student (or a 3rd year student for a 5-year course in a University.)
  • You must have proven financial need
  • You must have an excellent Academic Record.
  • You must have participated in leadership, volunteering, and community service

How to Apply for the WAAW Scholarship

You can apply for this scholarship online by visiting the scholarship application page. You will be asked to submit copies of the following documents:

  1. Two Reference Letters to be submitted by your referees. One MUST be written by a professor from your institution of study and the other from an academic supervisor/advisor or mentor to be emailed by your referee to us.
  2. One signed and sealed copy of your current transcript from your University.
  3. One scanned copy of your school ID card.

You will also be required to write a personal statement. When this statement, it is important to be honest and genuine. Share your story and why you are passionate about STEM. Be sure to highlight your academic achievements, leadership skills, and community service. You can also talk about the challenges you have faced and how you have overcome them.
